Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. Grant calendar access and the app is useful immediately.
Do I have to keep a second diary?
No. It reads the diary you already keep and never asks you to duplicate it. A job you add from the app is written back to your own calendar, with the customer name and number in the event notes, so the job shows up complete in Apple's Calendar too.
Is it really free?
Yes, permanently, and everything is included. There is no trial, no gate, no export limit and no watermark. If you want to support it there are three ways to, and they all give you exactly the same thing.
Is there a free app that tells you when to leave for the next job?
Yes. See You Soon is a free iPhone app for tradespeople: it reads the calendar you already keep, costs every journey against live traffic, and puts one leave time on the screen with a countdown to it.
Is there an app that texts customers when you are running late?
Yes. When a job overruns, See You Soon works out what that does to the rest of the day and writes the text for each customer left waiting, with your updated time of arrival already in it. It drafts the message and you send it, so nothing reaches a customer without you.

Does it work with the calendar I already use?
Yes. It reads the calendars already on your iPhone, across every account you have added to it, and never asks you to keep a second diary. A job you add in the app is written back to your own calendar, so it shows up in Apple's Calendar too.
Is there an app that works out how many jobs I can fit into a day?
Yes. See You Soon answers “when can you come?” with the next fortnight's real gaps and puts the times that add the least driving first. Times that would make you late for a job you have already booked are not offered at all.
Does it work for plumbers, electricians and other mobile trades?
Yes. It suits anybody who drives to booked work: plumbers, electricians, engineers, sole traders running a van round. It works from the appointments already in your calendar, so the trade does not matter.
Which calendars does it read?
Every calendar you leave switched on, across every account on the phone, grouped under the account it belongs to so two called Work are told apart. One has to stay on: an app reading no calendars shows an empty day for ever, and that looks identical to a quiet week.
Will it change my diary?
Only when you ask. It can add a job and it can change or delete one you open, one occurrence at a time, and a deletion asks first. It never touches anything else.
What happens with no signal?
The last good leave time stays on screen and the card says how old it is, rather than presenting a half-hour-old guess as live.
