Answer "when can you come?" with real gaps

"Find a time" searches the next 14 days inside your working hours and suggests up to 5 times, each with its reason. With the job's address and length, and a connection, it ranks them by how little driving they add, and puts days you are already working nearby first.

  2. What
  3. When

Find a time

  • Nothing else booked that day
  • The first gap that fits

How it works

  1. Who. Pick the customer from your contacts, or type a name and number. Add the address. Suggestions start after 3 characters.

  2. What. Say what the job is, and how long it takes, from 15 minutes to "8 hours (full day)".

  3. When. Tap "Find a time". It suggests up to 5 times in the next 14 days, inside your working hours, each with its reason. Tap one to use it.

  4. Or set it yourself. Pick a start and finish. A time on top of another job can't be saved, and the form names that job. It warns when the drive doesn't fit the gap.

  5. Save. The job is saved to the calendar you choose, with the customer and number in the notes and the address in the location.

What it needs

  • Full calendar access, and a calendar that can be written to.
  • The job's address and length, and a connection, for "Find a time" to rank by driving.
  • Contacts access, to pick a customer from your contacts or save a new one.

What it doesn't do

  • It plans one person's diary. There is no team scheduling and no shared diary.
  • A calendar you subscribe to can be read, but not added to.

Questions

How does it decide which times to suggest?

It looks through the next 14 days inside your working hours for gaps the job fits. With the address, the length and a connection, it puts first the times that add the least driving, and days you are already working nearby. Each suggestion says why it was chosen.

Can I set the time myself?

Yes. Use "Or set it yourself". A time on top of another job can't be saved, and the form names the job in the way. It warns when the drive doesn't fit the gap.

Where do my working hours come from?

The app works them out from your diary once the last 8 weeks hold at least 15 jobs. Until then it uses Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00. Check them in Settings and correct them. Hours you set are never replaced.

Can I stop it filling a day?

Yes. Turn on "Limit jobs a day" in Settings and pick 1 to 12. "Find a time" then skips a day that already has that many jobs.

Which calendar does a new job go into?

The one you choose. "New jobs go to" in Settings sets the starting choice, and the form lets you change it for each job.
