What comes next

Not committed, and listed anyway

So the shape of the product is legible. Every one of these has to pass the same test before it is built: can it work with no account, no cloud storage, no analytics, and all the data on your phone? Anything that fails is either redesigned until it passes or it is not built.

Next

  • Home and Lock Screen widgets
  • Siri and App Intents, so “when do I leave?” is a question you can ask out loud
  • Live Activities for the journey you are on

No new data, no new permissions, and each one amplifies what the app is already for.

Then

  • Apple Watch, with a haptic tap at leave time
  • An automatic mileage log, derived from journeys the app already calculates

The Watch complication reuses the widget timeline, so it depends on the tier above it.

Later

  • Photos and voice notes against a job
  • On-device drafting of the message nobody enjoys sending

The first of these gives the app its own data for the first time, which makes backup a real question. That is why it is later and not next.

Try the next one before anybody else

Nothing beyond the app you can download today is committed. Anything that does get built goes out on TestFlight first, and if you book work for a living and drive to it, you are exactly who needs to break it.
